Ocean Palms
The evening light is magical and its effect on it's subject is in constant fluctuation. The vivid colours of the California Sunset
turn the sunlight from source into subject. As the evening turns to night, my shoreline walk turns in land and I say farewell with this final shot of the Western sky, drawing all the attention from the surrounding landscape with it's beautiful and vivid pallet of gradient colours.
The Sunset Boys
I was out late on my bicycle watching the beautiful California sunset from Santa Monica beach. I went down to the shoreline to catch the reflection on the retreating tide and these boys just ran through my shot. It couldn't have happened better. The shape of the Cirrus clouds complimenting the shape of the shoreline.The motion of the runners in a blur, in contrast to the sharp detail of the water.
